About Our Asphalt Work

Asphalt Paving Mesquite lays and maintains asphalt for homes, businesses, churches and HOAs in Mesquite and the cities that border it, from Garland and Balch Springs to Forney, Rowlett and Rockwall. We pave new driveways and parking lots, resurface tired ones, repair potholes and failed sections, sealcoat, and stripe.

The ground here is the reason we work the way we do. East Dallas County sits in the Blackland Prairie, where the dark clay swells when it is wet and shrinks and cracks deeply when it dries out. Asphalt on top of that clay is always being pushed and pulled. A thick, well-compacted stone base, water kept away from the edges, and cracks sealed before they open wider are what let a driveway ride out a few Texas summers without breaking up.

An estimate starts with a walk around the property. We measure, look at how water leaves the site, push a probe into any soft or sunken areas, and look at the curb, the apron and anything else the new pavement has to meet. Then you get a written bid that lists removal, base, asphalt thickness, edges and any sealing or striping as separate prices.

Mesquite requires permits to be applied for through its Citizen Self Service portal, and it asks every contractor and homeowner pulling a permit to register for a Professional License first. We confirm the right permit type for your project with Building Inspection before anything is scheduled, since the wrong type delays issuance.

Our working rules

  • Soft subgrade is replaced, not paved over.
  • The bid states base depth and compacted asphalt thickness.
  • We avoid paving in the heat of a July afternoon and on cold, wet ground.
  • New asphalt cures for months before its first sealcoat.
  • Accessible parking on commercial lots follows the 2010 ADA Standards.
  • Changes to the scope are written up and approved by you first.
